HiPerSafe
is a next generation Active-Active Redundant RAID
Storage System designed to address a broad range of
direct-attached and network storage applications.
HiPerSafe is modular and scalable from enterprise to
midrange and small business environments. Providing
smart QOS storage configuration, HiPerSafe is the best
solution for tiered storage implementation.
HiPerSafe F series provides the benefits of FibreChannel
without the associated costs. HiPerSafe S series
provides the smart alternative to a JBOD with integrated
RAID. |

High Performance |
| HiPerSafe
allows the provides the users with the flexibility of
direct attach SAS or 4Gb Fibre Channel host
interface. Together with a high-speed SAS HBA
controller card on the server or 4Gb FC HBA, the storage
enclosure provides not only capacity but unprecedented
performance for applications like High Definition Video
Editing or high speed transaction applications. SAS
connectivity offers speeds of up to 1200 MB/s per link
and 4GB FC connectivity offers speeds of up to 400 MB/s
per port. |

Unique Multi-Drive Failure Tolerant RAID 50i |
|
RAID 50 Interleave is to provide higher redundancy and
availability even when using near-line and Desktop
drives in tiered storage configurations. RAID 50i
transparently creates multiple RAID 5 drive strata
within a single RAID set across single or multiple
enclosures within the Storage Domain. RAID 50i allows
multiple drive failures, up to one drive failure per
stratum, without the overhead and performance penalties
of RAID 6. |

Versatile Cost/ Performance Options |
| For highest
performance and reliability, systems can be configured with
dual I/O modules and high reliability SAS drives by providing
a 1,200 X 2 MB/sec speed and dual-port failover capability.
An application for a clustering transaction server can apply
the above scheme with the best throughput and reliability.
On the other hand, customers looking for performance but
no requiring redundancy can deploy the single I/O module
system with SAS drives without sacrificing performance and
reliability. For the lowest
$/GB consideration customers can apply the single I/O module
system with large capacity SATA drives to achieve the best
performance/cost investment. It is the best and most cost-effective
near-line or backup storage available. |

Compliant Systems management |
| All
of HPC Systems SAS Disk Enclosures are designed in a modular
base, completed with redundant and hot-swap I/O modules,
fans, and power supplies for easy maintenance. The systems
support in-band SES (SCSI Enclosure Service) with embedded
SEP for error and status reporting. Each drive has activity
and failure LEDs to indicate the drive status. Firmware
can be upgraded throughin-band SAS ports or serial port.

Scalabilty |
| HPC System
enclosures support a scalable solution to manage growing
storage needs via efficient expansion. Each SAS I/O Module
supports a downlink cascade path with four SAS channels
maintaining 1,200MB/s speed. |
