HiPerServ 8000 is a
high performance, cost
effective x86 SMP
solution built on
industry standard
components. Featuring
the latest Intel Xeon
quad core processors,
this system can be
configured from a
minimum of 8 cores, all
the way up to 80 cores.
Based on the
revolutionary vSMP
architecture,
HiPerServ8000
circumvents the
limitations and
bottlenecks of the
traditional x86 SMP and
clustering
architectures. vSMP
provides affordable
large SMP configurations
with out the added
costs. HiPerServ8000
extends the SMP
architecture across
multiple systems using
hardware aggregation
techniques, thus
presenting a single
system image to the
operating system
and the users.
HiPerServ8000 is
ideally suited for
applications that need
large number of
processing cores or huge
memory configuration or both. The
system can be customized
as per the processing
power and/or memory
requirements.
Applications and
operating systems can be
used as-is with no
modifications. HPC
Systems, Inc. will
provide optimized Linux
kernels for enhanced
performance and assist
in application porting
and optimization.
